Getting Started

1st Visit

If you are ready to become a patient at the Chiropractic Healing Arts Center, we are excited about the changes that are possible for you. The first thing you need to do is call the office at 207-799-0972 to set up an appointment time that works for you. We have special times that we set aside for new patient initial and second visits. Don't forget to download your patient history forms at the bottom of the page to save time during your first visit!

During your first visit to the Chiropractic Healing Arts Center, you will be asked to complete a patient history form, unless you bring in the completed forms available for download. During your consultation, Dr. Dunphy will gather important information about your health history, as well as your goals for coming to the center. If there is rapport and Dr. Dunphy accepts you as a patient, a detailed, comprehensive examination will be performed.

Following the exam, if indicated, you will receive your first gentle Chiropractic adjustment.

Next you will schedule a special appointment time to review the findings of your examination. You will be given some materials to read (prior to that visit) to enhance your understanding of Network Spinal Analysis and the healing process.

2nd Visit

During your second visit to the Chiropractic Healing Arts Center, Dr. Dunphy will report the findings of your initial spinal examination and together you will discuss the recommendations for beginning Network care.

Chiropractic Care

As you accept and are accepted into care, you will then have your second gentle Chiropractic adjustment.

Next, you will set up your series of appointments at the front desk. You may be given a cassette tape or a video to review prior to your third visit.

Other Visits

During your following visits, Dr. Dunphy will evaluate your nervous system for the presence of abnormal spinal cord tension as well as bone and muscle tension. She will check for the presence of subluxations in your spine and when indicated, you will receive gentle, specific Chiropractic adjustments.
